Registration for the Fall Citizen Sheriff’s Academy is now closed. Please check back for the next academy in spring 2026.

The Brazos County Citizen Sheriff’s Academy is an exciting 8-week program that gives participants a firsthand look at how the agency operates. As a member, you will learn about the latest trends and procedures in law enforcement as well as the duties and responsibilities of various divisions within our agency. You will also have the opportunity to participate in tours of our various facilities as well as participate in hands-on workshops.

The Brazos County Citizen Sheriff’s Academy meets each Tuesday from 6:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. at the Sheriff’s Office. The program starts Sept. 23, and will end with graduation on Nov. 18.
