Brazos County Fine Payments

Payments for Brazos county fines (Fines out of any of the county, district or JP courts in Brazos County) can be made in the Release Lobby at the Brazos County Detention Center for incarcerated persons only.  In order to make a fine payment, you will need exact cash in the amount of the fine or a credit/debit card to charge the fines to.  Intake/Release staff cannot accept partial, split or overage fine payments and they cannot make change.  If you intend to pay the fine via credit/debit card, the fines will be paid via Gov pay and the payment is subject to a fee in the amount of a percentage of the fine amount identified by Gov pay.  Gov pay is a third party vendor who we’ve contracted with to provide credit/debit card payment services and any questions regarding their fees must be addressed with them.   A valid state issued ID will be required to make a fine payment and any debit/credit card transactions require that the name on the card match the name of the person presenting their ID.

Bryan Municipal Fine Payments

Payments for Bryan Municipal fine payments can be accepted at the release lobby at the Brazos County Detention Center at any time if the Bryan Municipal court is not open.  In the event that the Bryan Municipal court is open, any Capias Profine payments must be made at the court.  Payments for onsite Bryan Municipal charges and Bryan municipal warrants for incarcerated persons will always be made at the Brazos County Detention Center Release Lobby.  Please note that Brazos County Detention Center staff is not permitted to accept money for Bryan Municipal fines.  When Intake/Release staff is made aware of your intent to pay the fines, they will contact a Bryan City Marshall when available or 911 dispatch to send the next available Bryan Police Department Officer to the jail to accept the fines.  Dispatching of officers to the jail to accept fine payments is done on a priority scale and priority of fine payments falls in line after calls for service in the community.  This being the case, it can take hours in some circumstances before an officer is available to come accept fine payments.  If you leave the lobby and the officer comes to accept the payment, the process will have to be initiated again so please stay in the lobby until the payment has been completed.  If you have an urgent situation that requires you to leave the lobby temporarily (less than 5 minutes), please communicate this with the Intake/Release staff so that they can inform the Bryan Officer upon arrival.
